What Customers Say About Timex Nature Sounds CD Player AM/FM Clock Radio with MP3 Input T609T:

Pros: Realistic nature soundsCons: Radio plays like mono instead of stereo After barely one year, the CD player doesn't work, just spins around and around and says "no disc." The clock is always 3-4 minutes fast.Buyer beware.

The CD player stopped working. But the replacement did the same thing after a couple of months. it shows "no" on the display. Called Timex Audio, and they replaced it. Called the company, no further warranty on it nor repair available. A waste of money.

The CD player gave us problems out of the box. It often wouldn't recognize that a CD was in the machine. (We should have returned it, but I'd just had a baby so no time). After a few months, the CD player stopped working entirely.

Received this as a gift. The exception are the wind chimes, which are actually very pleasant to wake up to. I agree that it is overly large for your average nightstand and the display is incredibly bright, even on its dimmest setting. As with most clock radios sporting "nature sounds", these tend to be repetitive and distorted to the point that they don't sound "natural" at all. On the plus side, you have a variety of alarm modes (CD, radio, nature sounds), two separate alarms, sleep timer, and an aux input for an MP3 player, all of which have worked just fine for me. Bottom line: it does what I need it to do.

I paid $60 for it from Bed Bath and Beyond, thinking the quality would match the price. I loved it when I bought it, but the CD player stopped working within the first year. From the other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who had this problem. Not so. Don't waste your money.
